A tasty no yeast bread made with a wholemeal and plain flour, pumpkin and sunflower seeds. It is a quick bread, you can have a warm, crusty loaf on your table in less than an hour.
Ingredients:
- 300g plain flour
- 300g wholemeal flour
- 1tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 70g butter or margarine
- 310ml buttermilk
- handful of mixes seeds
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees C / Gas 6. Lightly flour a (2 lb) loaf tin.
Sift the wheaten flour, plain flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda into a large bowl.
Rub in butter. Lightly stir in the buttermilk, then use your hands to bring the dough together. Sprinkle over the seeds.
Tip into floured loaf tin.
Bake for 40 minutes
